Capture Your Buyer’s First Impression

There are a few things to consider when transitioning your home from winter to spring. Curb appeal is huge – this is the first thing that people see and make judgments on. To make sure your home shines in the best light:

1. Make sure that your yard is cleaned up. If there are any toys that have been left out, old leaves from the fall or garbage that has been dropped, be sure to pick that up.
2. Make sure that your front door shines. This means cleaning your handle, tidying up your front rug and making sure there is nothing lying around the front door.
3. Make sure that your windows and clean. Winter tends to leave behind dirt and film on your windows, and making them sparkle leaves a great first impression.
4. Manicure your landscaping. If you don’t have a lot of plants or any colorful flowers, start working on those projects. Pots with colorful flowers create a welcoming entrance.
5. Touch up chipped paint. When a buyer sees that you are maintaining your exterior, they assume you are doing the same with your interior, and in turn want to come through your house.
